& Apples

Love, Love Naomi Murrell's Shop. Obviously, like me, she has a thing for apples (they are good for you, after all) but she also specializes in letterpress, prints, jewelry and cushions and totes. A one stop shop and so my style!

Googled, blogged and flickered, a study of lace in all its forms. A current love of mine and, hopefully, yours.

Using the same techniques and material used to make porcelain doll faces, Isabelle Abramson, a talented artist out of Massachusetts makes intricate pottery and bowls. Lace-like and otherwise. Luckily, she also has an Etsy shop.

Etsy Inspiration: Alexander Calder

Jealous Husband

Hair Comb

The artist designed hundreds of pieces for his wife Louisa James Calder, as well as the art glitterati of the day such Georgia O’Keefe, Peggy Guggenheim, and the wives of Joan Miro, Marcel Duchamp and Marc Chagall. Dramatic as they were, these statement-making items were lightweight and meant to move with the body, as his mobiles moved in the wind. Images and text Cited from here.

Gucci In Shoes

In White

In Grey

In Black

Gucci has even launched a Grandma PackageSpaghetti straps, suede, large metal buckle and so many people think familiar with Cheap Gucci Shoes. With python skin and ostrich skin, crocodile skin, and distinguished, with no common lizard hides and classical elegant exterior design, with a retro fitting fastener, allowing users to return to grandmother’s time of restrained luxury.

Gucci Fall 2010

Frida Giannini caught my attention with her gritty tenacity and her no nonsense interview in W Magazine. She has taken over where Tom Ford left off at Gucci quite seamlessly with interesting accessories for the line for the Fall and inspiring photos for Gucci's apparel.

Frida Giannini's Rules

The first thing I notice about a man are his shoes. Then I look at his watch.
The most iconic figures -- Jean-Paul Belmondo, Steve McQueen, James Dean -- were all rebels. Without a strong personality, you can have the most beautiful clothes in the world and you will never look right.

Sexiness is a very subjective thing. A man can be just as sexy in a buttoned-up suit as he can in jeans and a T-shirt.

I would love American men to embrace a narrower silhouette in suits and coats. It's way more sexy for a man to wear closer-fitting clothes.

I found this article from 2008. It's still very relevant today and increasingly so as temperatures in the world are reaching dizzying heights. source.

Melting Men

The installation, Melting Men, was meant to spotlight the World Wildlife Fund's warning that melting ice could possibly cause levels of bodies of water to rise to more than 3.3 ft by 2100.

Ice figures are pictured on the steps of the concert hall at Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin. The World Wildlife Fund is hoping to raise awareness about global warming through the event, as the 1,000 figures will all melt throughout the day.
